Singhampton Family Portraits

Just south of Collingwood and west of Duntroon is the the town of Singhampton.  For those who haven’t traveled in this area, be prepared to climb up rolling quiet country highways through hardwood forests, sleepy towns, and farmland that plunges towards Georgian Bay to the north.  When you arrive, you are on top of the escarpment and close to excellent nordic and alpine skiing, as well as incredible hiking on the Bruce Trail.

When I pulled into the driveway of the Rooks’ family farm, I knew I had arrived at an incredible setting for family portraits. With a warm spring breeze to greet me, I was enchanted by the tree-lined laneway and the majestic barn and outbuildings the property had to offer.  Complete with a pond more reminiscent of a lake, this was a setting I won’t soon forget.  The Rooks family was an absolute pleasure to work with and their energy, enthusiasm, and humour perfectly complemented their idyllic summer refuge.
