Viamede Resort Wedding Photography: Shooting weddings at the Crown Jewel of the Kawartha Lakes

I’m orginally from a small town, actually “hamlet” to be precise, called Bridgenorth (just outside of Peterborough, Ontario).  The population when I lived there was a whopping 1200 people.  We had a lake, woods, tree forts, a ball diamond.  As a child, it seemed pretty much perfect.

When I started my career as a wedding photographer, my most frequent venue was a short drive from there, on the shores of Stoney Lake, called Viamede Resort. Many city folk started calling it “The Viamede”, but I was always partial to the original name.  With a sweeping waterfront property with exposed expanses of Canadian Shield, wind blown pine trees, and beautiful docks, it really is a wedding photographer’s paradise.

I will be presenting more Viamede images in future blog posts, but for the moment, here are a selection of images from Aaron and Jacinthe’s Kawartha Lakes wedding at Viamede…
